Introduction

The Ajari app is operated by Digital Tales. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

This policy explains the types of data we collect, how we use it, who can access it, and your rights regarding it.

Data we collect

Data you enter

• Account data: name, email, mobile number.
• Optional profile data: civil ID, IBAN, bank name.
• Property data: names, locations, units, rent amounts.
• Tenant data: names, contact numbers and emergency contacts.
• Financial data: payment records and the receipt photos you upload.
• Photos: tenant and property photos, if you choose to upload them.

Data collected automatically

• Device type, operating system and app version — to fix issues.
• A device token used only to deliver notifications to you.
• Record creation and modification dates.

What we don't collect

• We don't access your location.
• We don't access the contacts on your device.
• We don't access your photos, except the ones you choose yourself.
• We don't track your activity outside the app.

How we use your data

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.

Your responsibility for tenant data

When you enter tenant data, you are the controller of that data and we act as a processor on your behalf.

You are responsible for obtaining tenants' consent to record and use their data for rent management purposes, and for the accuracy of that data.

Data sharing

We do not share your data with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

We use technical service providers that are necessary to run the app. They are bound to protect the data and do not use it for their own purposes:

• Database hosting: servers in the European Union.
• Verification emails: Brevo — receives only your email and name to deliver the message.
• Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging — receives only the device token and notification text.
• Fonts: a font service to display text.

We may disclose data if required to do so by a binding legal order from a competent authority.

Data security

• The connection is fully encrypted in transit.
• Your data is isolated at the database level — each user can access only their own data, and isolation is enforced on the server, not in the app.
• Passwords are stored in an encrypted form that cannot be recovered, and we cannot see them.
• Receipt photos are stored in private storage, and every view requires a temporary link that expires within an hour.
• Protection against repeated password-guessing attempts.

Data retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active.

When you delete your account, all your data and uploaded files are permanently erased and cannot be recovered afterwards.

Your rights

• Access: view all your data in the app at any time.
• Correction: edit your data at any time.
• Deletion: delete your account and all your data from inside the app.
• Objection: turn off notifications and reminders whenever you like.
• A copy of your data: contact us and we'll send it to you.

Sign in with Google or Apple

If you choose this option, we receive only your name and email to create your account. We don't access any other data in your account with them, and we never post anything on your behalf.

Apple lets you hide your real email and use a relay address, and this is fully supported.

Payments

The app is free and contains no purchases, so we never receive or store any card or bank details for payment.

The IBAN or Wamd number you may add in your collection settings is saved only in your account, and is shown to a tenant only in a rent request that you send.

Verification code

When you create an account or reset your password, we send a 6-digit code to your email to confirm you own it.

• The code is valid for a limited time only.
• We don't store the code itself — only an encrypted fingerprint of it.
• We use an external email service to send it, and share only your email and name to deliver the message.
• Your account is created only after your email is confirmed.

Children

The app is intended for adults who manage properties, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under eighteen. If we learn of it, we delete the data immediately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When a significant change occurs, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect.
